Meet Maddie Corman

Award winning actress Maddie Corman had been working professionally since she was a teenager, appearing in "after school specials" and such classic 80s teen fodder as SEVEN MINUTES IN HEAVEN and John Hughes' SOME KIND OF WONDERFUL. As a young actress, Maddie also began her love affair with theatre and starred in many Off Broadway plays at theaters including the Public, Second Stage, AJT, etc. working with playwrights James Lapine, John Guare and Wendy Wasserstein among others. A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Barnard College, Maddie was a series regular on MR PRESIDENT starring George C Scott, ALL AMERICAN GIRL and ALMOST THERE. Maddie has a recurring role on MADAME SECRETARY,  DIVORCE, YOUNGER and BULL. 

Her many guest roles include HIGH MAINTENANCE, GIRLS, ODD MOM OUT LAW & ORDER (all 3) NURSE JACKIE, PERSON OF INTEREST, CARRIE DIARIES, THE GOOD WIFE, SMASH, DAMAGES,etc. TV films include  WHEN WE RISE, JENIFER and DEAR DUMB DIARY. Feature films include: Lady Aberlin to Tom Hanks’ Mr Rogers in BEAUTIFUL DAY IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD, FORD FAIRLANE, MY NEW GUN, PCU, MR WRONG, SWINGERS, I THINK I DO, MICKEY BLUE EYES, MAID IN MANHATTAN, IRA& ABBY, MORING GLORY,  PEACE LOVE&MISUNDERSTANDING,  5 FLIGHTS UP with Diane Keaton and Morgan Freeman and the NAOMI and ELy's NO KISS LIST.

Maddie created the role of HOLLY in the award winning off-Broadway premiere of Geoffrey Nauffts' NEXT FALL for Naked Angels… the play was a huge success and transferred to Broadway where Maddie made her Broadway debut. NEXT FALL was nominated for the TONY for best play. Since then, Maddie has appeared  on Broadway in William Inge's  PICNIC at the Roundabout directed by Sam Gold and at Lincoln Center in Richard Greengerg’s Babylon Line as well as numerous Off Broadway plays  including FLIGHT, Nora and Delia Ephron's LOVE LOSS and WHAT I WORE,  and  the Obie award winning production of Branden Jacobs- Jenkins APPROPRIATE at Signature Theatre. Maddie wrote, directed and stars in the short film HOW WAS YOUR DAY which was selected by Tribeca Film Fest for their “Watch this short” series. Maddie was a playwright in residence at NY Stage and Film where she developed her first full length play, ACCIDENTALLY BRAVE. Daryl Roth produced the critically acclaimed world premiere at her DR2 theatre  Broadway World and PLaybill both cited the play as among the best of the season and Maddie was nominated for for the Outer Critics Circle award and she won the Off Broadway Alliance award for best solo performance. Audible Theatre recorded an audio-book version of ACCIDENTALLY BRAVE and the play was published by DPS. ACCIDENTALLY BRAVE will have its West Coast premiere in the fall.
